Lei Zhang
I. Personal Information Introduction
Lei Zhang, male, born in 1990, is an associate professor, holds a French doctorate, is a master's supervisor, a member of the Chinese Association of Automation, and an enterprise technical consultant. He graduated with a master's degree from the Department of Control Engineering, School of Astronautics, Harbin Institute of Technology, and obtained his doctorate through the China Scholarship Council. I was awarded a full scholarship to study in France. I graduated from Burgundy-Franche-Comte University in France in 2018 with a doctoral degree. Since 2018, I have been working at the School of Electrical Engineering, Henan University of Technology. It has close academic ties with the University of Bourgogne-Franche-Comte in France, Harbin Institute of Technology, Northwestern Polytechnical University, Southeast University, Harbin Institute of Technology Zhengzhou Research Institute, State Grid, Zhengzhou Key Laboratory of Robot Drive and Control, Zhengzhou China Resources Power, China University of Geosciences, and XJ Group Co., LTD. It encourages postgraduate students to go to Europe for exchange and further study through existing channels.
For a long time, research has been conducted in areas such as sliding mode variable structure control, robot control, motor control and observation, robust control, and nonlinear control. In the research fields of linear induction motor sliding mode control, adaptive super-distortion algorithm, state observer design, and speed observer design, As the first and corresponding author in ISA Transactions, IET Electric Power Applications, Asian Journal of Control and American Control More than ten academic papers have been published in journals and conferences such as Conference and Variable Structure Systems. Outstanding undergraduate thesis supervisor of Henan Province, completed one educational and teaching reform project of Henan Province, three scientific and technological research projects of Henan Province, one achievement appraisal of Henan Province Instrument and Meter Association, presided over one key scientific research project of Henan Province Higher Education institutions, won one second prize of scientific and technological achievement Award of Henan Provincial Department of Education, and one third prize of the Fifth Natural Science Academic Award of Henan Province.
Ii. Main Research Fields
The following research (in no particular order) is carried out around motor control and observation, robot control, nonlinear control, etc.
(1) Control and observation of various types of motors such as permanent magnet synchronous motors, linear induction motors, and stepper motors;
(2) Sliding mode control and observation, nonlinear systems, design and research of robust control and observation algorithms;
(3) Robot control, machine vision inspection;
(4) Artificial intelligence, Embodied intelligence
(5) Interdisciplinary research in medicine and engineering;

Cultivation method:
Master's students start to participate in scientific research projects from their first year. From their second year, they become the main force in scientific research and development work. In their third year, while participating in scientific research projects, they prepare their graduation theses and write an academic paper related to the research content. It is generally published in domestic first-level Chinese academic journals such as Acta Automatica Sinica, or written in high-level IEEE journals, etc. (2 to 3 postgraduate students are recruited each year
Undergraduate students, based on the concept of the undergraduate mentorship system and in combination with their personal interests, guide students to participate in innovation and entrepreneurship competitions, robot competitions, Internet Plus and other related competitions. Students who are interested in modeling and control can participate in the mentor's projects, such as semi-physical simulation development platforms, medical robots, STM32 development boards, motor control algorithm design and development, etc.
