Zhilei Xu, from Jining, Shandong Province, holds a doctorate and graduated from Southwest Jiaotong University. The main research fields are as follows: 1) Key technologies and equipment for power transmission and distribution in power systems, and conducting research on key multidisciplinary technologies and equipment in important fields such as energy and electricity. 2) Intelligent operation and maintenance of new energy power stations. Mainly focusing on the research of intelligent operation and maintenance of large-scale wind-solar power stations and the grid connection control of new energy, as well as the intelligent operation and maintenance of centralized new energy under extreme environments and complex conditions. 3) Key technologies for the current collection of pantograph-catenary systems in rail transit, fault detection of pantograph-catenary systems, and the application research of low-temperature plasma modification in the field of food engineering.
In recent years, he has presided over 1 provincial key research and promotion special project (science and technology research and development), and mainly participated in 3 projects including a major integrated project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, a key project of the National Natural Science Foundation, and an excellent young scientist fund project of the National Natural Science Foundation. He has also participated in 5 horizontal projects. He has won the "First Prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of the Ministry of Education" and the "First Prize of Science and Technology Award of the China Railway Society". He participated in the formulation of the IEEE international standard for pantograph-catenary detection (P2752), co-authored 1 English monograph on sliding electrical contact, published 7 SCI journal papers in journals such as High Voltage, Chinese Physics B, and Physics of Plasmas, and obtained authorization for 6 invention patents.
